An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team within a rapidly growing potato supply business based near Brigg, North Lincolnshire.
As part of our long term strategy to develop our sustained business we are currently investing in Robotic Automation. This will enhance our manufacturing process as we continue to supply our portfolio of blue chip customers and meet their needs.
This is a new role to supplement our current maintenance team with an electrical skill base. The aim of the team is to minimise production downtime through both proactive and reactive actions. The role will include maintaining plant, machinery and systems, and supporting the installation of new equipment.
To be successful in this role you must:
- Be a multi-skilled engineer, with an electrical bias. Mechanically trained people with strong electrical skills will be considered
- Carry out PPM tasks
- Attend Breakdowns
- Have a good understanding of manufacturing processes within the food industry
- Packaging and Weighing machinery experience advantageous
- Have excellent fault finding skills in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
- Have a good working knowledge of 3 Phase and PLC’s
- Have served a recognised apprenticeship
- Be qualified to the latest Wiring Regulations
- Maintain health and safety standards in all work activities
- Be able to communicate at all levels, both internally and with external contacts
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
This is a day role, initially working 5 days mainly Tuesday to Saturday.
